Where'd all the good people go?

They're still alive!

1. I was very fortunate to have a very good taxi driver last Friday.  I was going to IDS Logistics for an interview, and I had no idea where the place was.  All I knew was it was near Eastwood.  I had to ask Aiza for directions.  While going there, I was on the look out for landmarks that Aiza told me.  It was obvious I had no idea where the place really was, but the driver was polite and never took advantage of my ignorance.  When we reached the street where IDS was located, we spotted a sign on a building, and I told the driver to drop me there.  I was surveying the building, and I realized the office of IDS wasn't there.  I asked a guard from the building about the location of IDS, and he told me it was still straight ahead of the building, and I had to walk further.

That time it was raining, and I was wearing business clothes.  But then I couldn't do anything that time except to walk to IDS.  As I was walking for a short while, the taxi came back to get me.  The driver told me he saw where IDS was, and he realized I dropped off at the wrong point.  He came back to get me because he knew I would have to walk some distance under the rain.  When I got to IDS, the driver told me not to pay anymore.  Mabait daw ako.  If only all taxi drivers were like him, I would never curse them ever again.

2. The guards in IDS were also very kind.  After the interview, I waited for a taxi outside IDS.  Some minutes later, a guard told me to come inside the compound and just wait there.  He asked another guard to get a taxi for me.  He said I might get wet (it was still raining that time) waiting for a taxi to arrive.  Such nice guards :)
