The Powers of Gloria are Great

That evil b***h has done it again!  I've already talked about this in a previous blog entry

To recap, she already struck down FPJ, Roco, and Cardinal Sin.  And now it's Cory Aquino!!!  Well, we still don't know what stage Cory is in right now... but when you're talking about the big C, recovery is hard, especially when it's diagnosed too late.

Lesson?  Never mess with GMA.  She has powers that are unknown to us.

Holy Week in the Dorm

A very eventful and holy Holy Week...

Maundy Thursday
- lunch: bread
- slept
- dinner: corned beef + bread
- studied a bit for Pol Sci and Accounting
- went to the doghouse to have access to internet
- watched Lion King on my laptop
- talked with roommate for more than an hour about sari2x stores and other topics

Good Friday
- lunch: tuna
- went to the doghouse to have access to the internet
- dinner: McDo (thank goodness they're open)
- watched Idiocracy and 1408 on my laptop
- studied for Pol Sci and Accounting
- My roommate went to Starbucks.  She said Cantina was open, and they were serving liquor.  I'd bet the owners of Cantina are atheists.
- I didn't go to mass at Gesu.  Well, I'm not Catholic in the first place.  But back at home, my family always went to hear the Good Friday mass.

Black Saturday
- lunch: McDo cheeseburger
- watched Grease on my laptop
- read a little for Pol Sci
- currently in the doghouse to take advantage of the internet access (sira pa rin ang dorm net)

It feels more like a 4-day weekend instead of Holy Week.

Study? Pfft... OR Bato2x sa Langit, ang Matamaan Huwag Magalit

Nobody really cares what your GPA (or in our case, QPI) was.

IT'S TRUE!

Thank God.

A Congratulations Post

Congrats to the graduating seniors!  Your 4/5 years of hard work finally paid off.

Congratulations to the ORSP contestants, namely Lance, Wilhelm, Karlvin, Garret, and Anton.  1st place!  Galing talaga ng MEAns!

Congratulations to those who qualified for JTA, and especially those in the top 10 of the list (#1: Deo, #2: TJ, #3: Kyna, #6: Lens ... inggit ako sa inyo!!! hahaha).

Last but not the least... I'd like to congratulate my brother, Oliver Diamante, for getting a 94 on the step 1 of the US Medical Licensure Exam.  2 steps to go before he gets to practice in the US.  But so far so good bro (you may not be as bright as the one who got a 99, but a 94 is not bad at all)
(OT: My brothers are leaving this country one by one... Andrei is already in Australia, although he'll be back by next year because his scholarship states that he should serve the Philippines for two years... but then, I know he'll leave the country as soon as the 2 years are over.  And then Oliver is surely going to the US after he finishes steps 2 and 3 of the US MLE.  As for Dominic...)

The Great Conspiracy Theory

The Arroyo government has been in power for almost 7 years.  Come 2010, it will have reigned the country for 9 years.  Despite the "Hello Garci" scandal and the ongoing NBN-ZTE scandal, it is still in power.

Three major players who could've toppled the president are gone.  It is strange that their deaths occurred within only a span of one year.  Who am I talking about?
1. Fernando Poe, Jr. - died December 14, 2004
2. Raul Roco - died August 5, 2005
3. Jaime Cardinal Sin - died June 21, 2005
Within one year... Coincidence or not?

Doctors say they died of natural causes.  Is that really true?

It is my belief that our president has supernatural powersShe caused their deaths!  FPJ could've called on the masses to oust Gloria.  Raul Roco and Cardinal Sin (and also FPJ) could've joined forces and call on a revolt to make Gloria resign.  Cardinal Sin helped make EDSA 1 and EDSA 2 happen.  He could be capable of making another change...  But then, FPJ, Roco, and Sin are dead.  They could no longer help amass a crowd to revolt against the president.

Unbelievable but true, our president is actually an evil supernatural being.

Assignment: Katipunan Restaurants

Looking for a place to eat out is becoming challenging.  Obvious choice for any dormer is to eat at any restaurant in Katipunan.  Problem is, it seems my roommates and I have grown tired eating from the same place/s (e.g. Flaming Wings).

What I am trying to do now is enumerate all the food establishments that can be found in Katipunan.  I will use this list as reference so that our decision time will be minimized ("so saan tayo kakain?" "Flaming Wi-" "huwag, kakakain ko lang diyan" "*gives more names of restaurants*" "ah! ayaw ko diyan" "so saan mo gusto?" "wait! isip ako...").  It takes time to think of places.  It's better to immediately consult a list.

Only qualification for the list below is the food establishment can be reached by a dormer by riding a tricycle and/or simply by walking.

The list: (please feel free to add establishments)

- McDo
- Wok dis Way
- Shakey's
- Chiggy's
- Cantina
- Starbucks
- Jollibee
- Greenwich
- Red Ribbon
- Max

- Seattle's Best Coffee
- Cafe Sweet Inspirations
- Cello's
