It's finally over! Math midterms you are gone! I am so relieved that it is finished. Tomorrow, it's time to relax and not study .

Right now, there is a Lit paper I have to face. It is for a comparative analysis about two annoying LOVE poems.

Still, it feels so good that there are no more major things to worry about (no matter how short-lived the period of relaxation).

Now to get back to my paper...

a sea of C's

I got my advisory marks this day. Perfect description for it? A sea of C's except for one. However, two subjects did not have a grade (Ps1 and Ps2). Maybe my advisory marks could've been worse. Perhaps it would be a pile of CD's nought for one. On the other hand, my tentative QPI (excluding the two physics subjects) is 2.9. Note that 2.9>2.5. This implies that my scholarship still holds true since there exists a QPI greater than the minimum requirement. I think math is getting to me. Which reminds me, I have to study for math midterms.

a moment of reflection

Sometimes, there are times when one realizes life consists of a repetitive cycle of tasks. Suddenly, everything just seems boring. Tests, assignments, grades... for what? For jobs... and then? To work everyday of your life to have a stable and secure life... And then? What else? We'll all just die anyway.

Life just seems so monotonous right now. It's so depressing.

golden trip

This morning was spent at the home for the aged called Golden Acres. Time of departure from the campus of Ateneo de Manila University was supposed to be 7 AM, but the transportation was late. To top it off, some of the people from the block were late so the people had to wait for them. Actual time of departure turned out to be 8 AM. Girls were on one jeepney and the boys were on another jeepney. Our jeepney lost to their jeepney. The jeepney we were riding took the same U-turn three times (i.e., the jeepney driver did not know the way) before it found its way to Golden Acres.

Arriving there, a weird old man accosted almost all of us, asking for dole-outs. While waiting in the lobby, a weird old woman was outside staring at us. Later, the class was in the community hall with the oldies. The program started and some of the lolas and lolos readily went to the front to participate in the activities lined up. There was the Wowowee, Deal or No Deal, and talent parts of the program. Anyway, the winner of the Wowowee part was supposed to be the only player for Deal or No Deal. However, one lolo complained why she should be there. He argued that she already won. So the people decided to have two players. Lola-who-lost-in-Wowowee volunteered to be the other player. Yay! So much for rules. Due to the fact that oldies did not know the mechanics of Deal or No Deal and there was squabble about who should be the player, Deal or No Deal became Pera or Paper Plates. Lola-who-should-be-the-only-player got P800 while lola-who-lost-in-Wowowee got P1250. Hmmm... interesting. Since there was still money left, there was the impromptu talent portion. Lolos and lolas sang and danced old songs, while disagreeable-lolo-in-a-wheelchair constantly clanged the loud bell (good thing someone took him away from the bell area). After the talent portion, snacks were served to the oldies. Sadly, the food provided was not enough. Good thing the block readily brought food. Lolo-who-hoarded-things did not help in the shortage. After the eating part, some people from the block and the old people danced. And then the program ended.

Pardon for the fragmented way this entry was written.  After all, this is a blog.  And a blog can just consist of ramblings.

rather disappointing

The ACET results came out today and I checked it out so I could see how my high school fared.  I wound up a bit disappointed after I finished looking at the list though.  Only one person from my school got into the director's list.  No one was a San Ignacio de Loyola Merit scholar.  Four of those who took the test did not pass.  On the bright side, two got to be 100TFD scholars while another one got to be a 100TFDA scholar.  Also, two out of these three scholars chose BS Management Engineering as their course.  I do hope these three people will choose to study in Ateneo so that there will be more people from my school in the campus.  Besides, their tuition is free in Ateneo!  UP's tuition is going to increase!

A mother of a third year student from my high school just called me to ask about the ACET since her child may join the AJSS (that is if he passes the test).  It would be nice if he'd get into AJSS so that someone from my high school will finally get to join it.  From what I know, no one from our high school was ever interested in joining AJSS.  Until now.  I really hope he'll pass.  I've got school pride that's why I want my school mates to achieve.

I'd have to stop writing right now because I need to write my research paper.  I'm really procrastinating.  Must stop now.

a new year

A new year has arrived and school still sucks. Solution? Drop out! Wahaha!

Yeah right I will... Still, it never hurts to think about that... *sigh!*
